Themed Programs

Want to generate more foot-traffic at your library or museum? We can customize a concert / talk that will highlight YOUR music collection (books, recordings, sheet music, or historic instruments). Drawing on our backgrounds as educators and musicians we'll tell stories to put jazz and songs from The Great American Songbook in historical/social context. Before we play the songs, we might suggest some listening guides to give the music more meaning.

More informative than just a concert, more entertaining than a lecture, Skylarkz themed programs are entertaining, readily accessible and appealing to a multigenerational audience. We'd be happy to collaborate with you to prepare a local cultural council grant application.
